She has been a strategic negotiator, simultaneously representing a variety of organizations to negotiate a multimillion-dollar sponsorship contract with Publix Supermarkets for a middle school environmental educational project.

She was employed by the Herald-Tribune Media Group, a subsidiary of the New York Times at that time. She was also serving as the Florida Press Educational Services President. And as such was able to increase the scope of the project to include six other states press organizations to service their students as well.

Mary takes special pride in giving back to her community. She has served as a member of the many committees and boards throughout Florida and in particular the Venice area. She served as Venice Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Tourist Development Committee for two years and Board of Directors for six years.
During that time she was also the Co-Founder of the Venice Sharkstooth and Seafood Festival, the largest and most successful community wide event ever.

Mary has an unique and long term commitment to the Venice Community. As such she was Named Venice Gondolier’s Around Town “Venice’s Special Person of The Week” August 19, 2020

Board Chairmen for two years and served on the American Cancer Society - South Sarasota, Desoto Board for five years.
A mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters Venice High School Mentoring Program for five years.
Board member and Vice President of Sertoma Club Of Venice for two years.

A few additional things you should also know about Mary:
She has eight years’ experience in hospitality and property management in both New England and Florida.
And if you are considering buying or selling in a HOA community, Mary currently serves on Club Villas (Waterford-Berkshire Circle) HOA Board and is “Florida HOA Director DBPR Certified”.

Mary grew up in the Boston area and graduated from Northeastern University. She moved to the Venice Area over 35 years ago. Despite her love of snow and her past career as a ski instructor, she hasn’t looked back since. However, she does remain a rabid Red Sox fan.

Her two sons, Michael and Matthew attended local public schools, and both are now successful in their respective careers.
